Today, I’m going to be writing about the things you can do to develop your hustle muscle. It takes more than hustle to be great, but you can’t be great without that burning desire to do what others are unwilling to do.
No one is going to hand you success. You have to go out and get it for yourself. That’s the reason why you are here. You’re here to dominate and conquer both the world and yourself.
Publilius Syrus, a former slave in Roman times, who became famous for his wisdom said this: “Do not despise the bottom rungs in the ascent to greatness.”
Greatness is never handed to you—you have to chase it. And the moment you stop pursuing it, it moves farther away. Slow down, and the distance grows. Stop altogether, and it disappears beyond the horizon. Greatness only belongs to those who keep moving, keep growing, and refuse to quit.
Get up, if you have fallen, and dust yourself off. You’ve got to be willing to do the work others are unwilling to do if you want to succeed when starting from a place of being disadvantaged.

Both Vision and Action
Learn to fall in love with the art and pain of the hustle. A Japanese proverb says “Vision without action is a dream. Action without vision is a nightmare.” You need both vision and action to achieve great things. Vision guides you; action propels you.
Most people just settle for the dream, because it is free and easy. It doesn’t require action or hustle, which comes at a heavy price sometimes. Most aren’t willing to pay the price. This is another place where true greats distinguish themselves. They hate every minute of whatever they have to do to attain the level of greatness but they go ahead and do it anyway. Remember what Muhammad Ali said: “I hated every minute of training, but I said, ‘Don’t quit. Suffer now, and live the rest of your life as a champion.’”
True greatness consists of being great in little things. Take baby steps if you need to, but just keep it moving. Value the importance of turning small things into great advantages through hard work by flexing your hustle muscle. It’s never too late to start. It’s never too late to hustle in pursuit of your vision and goals.
The Value of Relationships
Work on your relationships to develop your hustle muscle. Become a leader who understands that relationships are the key to success in business and in life. One’s ability to understand people and the ability to flow through others’ emotions in stressful situations influence how deep one can go in relationships. Think about the skills that will support you in your relationships, your mindset, and your body, as those will be key to supporting you on your path to greatness.
Hustling is a most if you’re to achieve your God-given potential. Will Smith once said: “The guy who is willing to hustle the most is going to be the guy that just gets that loose ball.“
Most people get stuck in life because they are obsessed with what could go wrong. Fear keeps most people down. When you experience fear, move towards it. When you feel doubt, take the necessary actions to build your confidence. When you’re afraid of being wrong or looking bad in front of others, choose humility over pride. Be willing to admit what you don’t know. Be brave enough to be vulnerable. Real human connection isn’t built on perfection—it’s built on authenticity.
Hustling definitely takes action. It requires getting over yourself and how you look to other people. Give yourself permission to hustle like a maniac. Remember this: You’re here to make the most of what you can be.
